Setting up team roles and device access

Create roles, set permissions, and assign Reyvend coolers to team members.

Written by Michael Davis

Give staff their own login and control exactly what they can see and which coolers they can manage. For example, a restocker can open doors and see stock without seeing your revenue.

This takes two steps: create a role, then assign devices to the team member.

Step 1: Create a role

A role is a set of permissions you can reuse for anyone doing the same job.

General tab

  1. Make sure you're on the General tab.

  2. Role name. Use the job title, for example "Restocker" or "Manager".

  3. Role remarks. A short note on what the role is for, so you remember later.

  4. Don't tap Save yet. Go to the Permissions tab first.

Permissions tab

  1. Tap the circle next to a section to turn it on or off. Each section matches a tab in the app: Home, Devices, Products, Orders, Alerts, and Profile. Turned off means the team member won't see that tab.

  2. Tap the arrow on a section to open its detailed permissions and fine-tune them.

  3. Tap Save.

Tip: Turn off Home and Orders for staff who shouldn't see revenue.

Step 2: Assign devices

Choose which coolers the team member can access.

  1. Open the team member and tap the Assign Device tab.

  2. Choose All device to give access to every cooler, or Selected devices to pick specific ones.

  3. Search by device ID or name if you have several coolers.

  4. Check the box next to each device they should access.

  5. Tap Save.

Tip: If you add a new cooler later, team members with Selected devices won't see it until you assign it to them.
